VGSE student Philipp Hergovich’s research extensively covered in MIT review and Austrian Radio Ö1

A recent paper by the VGSE student Philipp Hergovich is currently receiving media attention from around the globe.

The joint project with Josue Ortega, Phd, from the University of Essex, studies the mechanism of Online Dating in a network structure. The authors show that already small chances of meeting people from a formerly segregated group, can cause relatively fast social integration.

The paper is featured at influential online blogs like MIT Technology ReviewMarginal Revolution and Financial Times, but has also been discussed on Austrian Radio Ö1.
